Clara was born in 1995 and is of Swiss and French nationality. She attends school in Lausanne at the Gymnase Auguste Piccard, a school that has nine special classes to accommodate the needs of artists and top athletes. Her days are filled with class, three hours of golf training and a good hour and a half of fitness training, which leaves little space for other hobbies. She hopes to obtain her Swiss maturité in 2015 in order to then fully concentrate on a career as professional golf player.
Clara has started playing golf at the age of five and has since monopolised podiums and accumulated numerous prizes and trophies. She began playing at the Golf de Bossey (FR), and then joined the Happy Golf s’COOL in Crans-Montana. She now mainly plays golf at the Golf de Lausanne, in Crans-Montana and Bossey.
Her golf successes include amongst others being Swiss Golfing Champion U12, U14 and in 2013, she became the Swiss Ladies’ Golfing Champion. Clara will be the first “romande” player professional in 2015 and hopes to be selected for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Clara will speak about her experience of combining studies with a career as an amateur golfer and the support she gets from sponsors and institutions.
